What You Value

I have been reading a friend's blog that chronicles their family's 3 month trip to Africa, and how she hopes it will impact their two boys.  May all of our children have experiences that reveal you to them - your heart and your care for others.  May they have experiences that shock them out of their consumer mindsets, and may they understand what has true value in your eyes.

At Peace With Everyone

Make every Effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.  - Hebrews 12:14

May they be peacemakers in their schools and in their homes, and value a peaceful life.

Healthy Bodies

Lord, as these children get older and begin to make decisions for themselves, I pray they would choose to look after their bodies.  I pray they would choose to eat healthy foods, and not eat solely for pleasure.  I pray they would choose activity over being sedentary.  May they value feeling good and healthy and make choices to take themselves in that direction.
